About the Role
Are you an experienced construction leader with an eye for detail and a passion for architectural excellence? Sekisui House is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Inspector to join our Apartment & Mixed Use Development Building Business Unit in NSW.
In this pivotal role, you will be the custodian of quality for our premium homes. You will review technical specifications, conduct rigorous site inspections, and act as the core liaison between internal drafting, construction, and external stakeholders. Your expertise will ensure that every residence is delivered to our benchmark global standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspections & Sign-Offs: Perform comprehensive technical inspections across all building stages (including piers, formwork, reinforcement, frame, cladding, and finishes) and lead final quality assurance handovers.
  • Process Management: Oversee and manage the end-to-end Quality Assurance framework in alignment with national benchmarks.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, effective coaching, and technical leadership to our team of QA Officers to maximise productivity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Construction Director to foster a seamless, cooperative relationship between the construction and warranty teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute actively to product development, Research & Development (R&D) initiatives, and rectification planning.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 5+ years of experience as a Residential Construction or Warranty Team Leader, Supervisor, or Site Foreman.
  • Deep understanding of design and construction methods, alongside sound knowledge of architectural documentation and technical terminology.
  • Expert working knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and relevant Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation within residential housing.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of coaching teams and driving project outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a natural ability to resolve site challenges collaboratively.
  • A valid Australian Driver's Licence.

Core Competencies

  • Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced development environment.
  • Planning & Organising: Strong structural management of timelines, site processes, and audit workflows.
  • Influencing & Training: Ability to uplift team capability and enforce rigorous quality standards constructively.
  • Initiative: Proactive in identifying design improvements or necessary rectification steps.
