Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Quality Assurance -Manager to lead the Quality function at our Plant in Samba. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality systems, food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in FMCG Food Manufacturing, quality management systems, audits, food safety regulations, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management & Food Safety

• Lead and manage end-to-end Quality Assurance activities across Incoming, In-process, and Finished Goods.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), GMP, GHP, HACCP, and FSSAI requirements.
• Establish, review, and improve quality standards, SOPs, specifications, and control plans.
• Drive a robust quality culture across manufacturing operations.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Food Safety, and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Maintain audit readiness and lead internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations and CAPA implementation.

Process & Product Quality

• Monitor product quality parameters and ensure adherence to defined specifications.
• Investigate customer complaints, quality deviations, and non-conformities.
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions.
• Work closely with Production, Procurement, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to achieve quality objectives.

Vendor & Supplier Quality

• Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance.
• Conduct supplier audits and drive quality improvements in raw material sourcing.
• Ensure incoming materials comply with defined quality specifications.

Team Management

• Build, mentor, and develop the QA team.
• Define KRAs, monitor team performance, and ensure capability development.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to enhance operational excellence.

Continuous Improvement

• Lead quality improvement projects and cost reduction initiatives.
• Analyze quality trends, process deviations, and laboratory results for continuous improvement.
• Implement best practices in food safety, quality systems, and manufacturing excellence.
