Quality Assurance Manager

To lead and manage the quality function and institutionalize robust systems and processes that ensure product reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction, while proactively driving defect prevention, cost of poor quality reduction, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

DME/B.E (Mechanical)

Bachelors degree in engineering / Diploma in (Mechanical / Production / Industrial)

Min. Exp.

Overall experience in Quality 15 20 years experience

10 15 years of experience in manufacturing quality

Minimum 5 years in a leadership role

Minimum 5 years experience in automotive industries

Job Description

.Key Responsibilities :Quality Strategy & Leadership

• Define and implement the companys quality vision, strategy, and objectives

• Align quality goals with business and customer expectations

• Lead the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams

• Act as Management Representative for Quality Systems

Quality Management System (QMS)

• Establish, implement, and maintain QMS (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949)

• Ensure compliance with standards, customer requirements, and statutory regulations

• Lead internal and external audits

• Drive audit readiness and closure of non-conformities

Product & Process Quality

• Ensure quality in:

• Incoming materials (IQC)

• In-process stages (IPQC)

• Assembly and Finished goods (FQC)

• Approve control plans, inspection standards, and quality procedures

• Oversee PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC implementation

• Support and ensure New product Development Quality (NPD)

Customer Quality Management

• Handle customer complaints and warranty issues

• Ensure root cause analysis (RCA) using tools like:

• 8D

• Fishbone Diagram

• 5 Why

• Design of Experiments (DOE)

• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

• Interface with customers for audits and quality reviews

Supplier Quality Management

• Develop supplier quality standards and evaluation systems

• Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews

• Drive supplier improvement initiatives

• Approve new supplier qualifications

Continuous Improvement

• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives

• Monitor and reduce:

• Rejection rates

• Rework

• Customer complaints

• Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)

• Promote a culture of quality across the organization

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Track and report KPIs such as

• PPM (Parts Per Million)

• First Pass Yield (FPY)

• Customer complaints

• Internal rejection rates

• Present quality performance in management review meetings

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards

• Identify quality risks and implement mitigation plans

• Maintain documentation and traceability systems

Team Management & Development

• Build and mentor the quality team

• Conduct training on quality tools and systems

• Define competency requirements and performance metrics
