Position Explanation: Inspect & Assure all product meets customer criteria and specifications. Establish, implement, and train employees to quality standards and procedures. Communicate with customers regarding specifications, product / process deviations, returns, non-conformances, and performance. Maintain & continuously improve Dearborn Bortec’s Quality Management System.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to manage all intra and inter-departmental conflicts proactively, and in a professionally diplomatic manner. Support, formulate, document, and implement policies and procedures while seeking / recommending change to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Strong mathematical skills. Working knowledge of computers and word processing/spreadsheet/ ERP programs. Strong working knowledge and demonstrated understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management system requirements, with the ability to lead the organization through AS9100 implementation, gap analysis, QMS development, audit preparation, and successful certification.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in associated discipline

10+ year’s equivalent experience in quality management

Excellent metrology, GD&T, and QMS management experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Attend operational meetings and report on daily departmental tasks or issues. Update and maintain documentation regarding compliance with regulatory bodies. Maintain and populate risk register assessment. Train all Dearborn Bortec personnel to documented company policies, QMS awareness, and relevant procedures. Report on quality management system performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. Establish and implement the quality standards for product and / or services. Schedule and support both internal and certification audits. Log and maintain product / customer requirements within customer files. Oversee the maintenance of calibration for all measuring equipment to include outside / customer furnished gaging, evaluate the need for new equipment or repairs as necessary. Ensure the effectiveness of calibration schedules, frequency, and accuracy of instrumentation. Promote a high level of communication, cooperation, and interaction with administrative and manufacturing personnel to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
