Pay Rate : $30.00/hr. on w2

Job Description:

Schedule: M-F

Regular Shift - 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Needs to be flexible to work 9:30 pm - 5:30 am

Summary

The QA Lab is located inside the manufacturing facility. This person will be required to follow the company's GMP and safety practices.

Responsibilities:

• Plating Microbiological Samples
• Collecting and preparing samples
• Maintain, clean, and sanitize microbiology laboratory and equipment. Prepare micros samples and other microbiological materials. Maintain samples and record microbiological analysis results.
• Perform microbiological analysis on the following: package product, water samples, packaging process areas, sugar tanks.
• Report non-conformances to the appropriate department personnel and investigate as needed.
• Be available to the QA Manager for other projects including but not limited to laboratory assistance, auditing and QA data analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree from an accredited college in microbiology, chemistry, related science discipline or equivalent industry experience/education.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical, hands-on beverage manufacturing, production, or laboratory work is preferred.
• Experience in a quality department in food manufacturing or processing environment is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Effective analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
