Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) system. You will ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and applicable building codes, while conducting regular site quality inspections and audits across all active projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) system

• Ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and applicable building codes

• Prepare, review, and update quality policies, procedures, checklists, and inspection forms

• Monitor the implementation of quality procedures across all active projects

• Conduct regular site quality inspections and audits

• Verify that all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements

• Monitor workmanship and ensure corrective actions are implemented for identified deficiencies

• Review Inspection Requests (IRs), quality reports, punch lists, and close-out documents

• Maintain complete QA/QC documentation for all projects

• Investigate quality issues and identify root causes and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary

• Ability to work closely with Project Directors, Project Management Officers, Senior Designers, QISSHE Officers, Customer Relation Manager, and other divisions/departments

• Capability to participate in project meetings to discuss quality performance and project status

• Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors regarding quality-related concerns

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Engineer.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction QA/QC, preferably in fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, quality standards, and project documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction documentation software.
• Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
