Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

The Quality Assurance Specialist supports and strengthens the Quality Management System by ensuring compliance with regulatory, certification, and customer requirements, while driving continuous improvement across the organization. The Quality Assurance Specialist manages key quality metrics, documentation, supplier compliance records, and customer-required certifications, and collaborates with internal teams to resolve quality issues. The position also provides training, completes customer supplier surveys, and promotes quality and customer requirements company-wide.

Key responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure it remains effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives.

• Monitor QMS performance to verify compliance with certification standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.

• Collect, analyze, and report key quality metrics related to customers, suppliers, and internal operations to support data-driven decision-making.

• Evaluate industry-best practices and recommend QMS improvements to leadership to drive operational excellence.

• Assist in executing quality improvement initiatives aligned with the annual operating plan and long-term strategic goals.

• Promote and reinforce customer requirements and quality expectations across all departments to ensure consistent understanding and alignment.

• Deliver process and quality improvement training to employees as needed to support continuous improvement culture.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Maintain, revise, and control quality system documentation to ensure accuracy, availability, and compliance with QMS standards.

• Coordinate with manufacturers to collect customer-required compliance documentation, including REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, Buy America, TSCA, Proposition 65, NAFTA/COO, and related regulatory artifacts.

• Perform duties to AS/ISO procedures and regulation standards/specifications.
