What they need

About StrongMind

StrongMind is a remote-first education and technology company on a mission to transform learning for students, families, and educators across the country. For more than 25 years, we’ve partnered with schools and districts to deliver innovative, student-centered learning experiences powered by technology, compassion, and bold thinking.

We believe education should be flexible, human, and built for real life. That belief shapes how we design our products, support our partners, and work together as a team. At StrongMind, you’ll find smart people doing meaningful work, a culture rooted in trust and accountability, and leaders who genuinely care about both outcomes and people.

The Team You Will Join

You’ll be part of StrongMind’s Curriculum Quality Assurance team, working closely with Producers, Editors, Instructional Designers, and Developers across our Manila and U.S.-based Curriculum teams. This team is responsible for making sure every course StrongMind builds works exactly as intended for students and teachers before it ever reaches a classroom.

The team culture is collaborative, detail-driven, and supportive, and you’ll have opportunities to grow your quality assurance and accessibility expertise, deepen your understanding of online course design, and build strong working relationships across StrongMind’s global Curriculum organization.

The Difference You Will Make

In this role, your work will directly impact students, teachers, and families by making sure every course they use is complete, functional, and accessible from day one. Small things — a broken link, a mis-scored question, an image missing a description for a screen reader — can turn into real frustration for a student or a teacher if they slip through. Catching them first is what makes this role matter.

You’ll help solve problems before they ever reach a classroom, improve how course content gets reviewed, and contribute to StrongMind’s mission by helping make sure every course we publish meets our quality bar.

A Typical Day Looks Like

While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to spend your time:

  • Reviewing StrongMind’s online courses for functional accuracy — checking that every page, assessment, and interactive element works exactly as designed, both before and after a course goes live.

  • Verifying that assessment questions are set up correctly, including answer keys, scoring, and point values, so grades come out right for students and teachers.

  • Confirming course structure matches the approved plan: units and lessons are in the right order, syllabi and introductions are in place, and course settings are configured correctly.

  • Checking that all media (videos, images, audio, PDFs, and interactive content) displays properly, plays correctly, and is linked where it should be.

  • Verifying that course content meets accessibility standards — for example, making sure images have descriptive alt text and complex visuals have longer written descriptions for screen-reader users.

  • Logging any issues you find and routing them to the right teammate to get resolved.

  • Collaborating and meeting with Producers, Editors, Instructional Designers, and Developers to resolve issues and improve how the team works.

  • Using StrongMind’s internal course-building and quality-review platforms, along with AI tools like Claude, to work through reviews efficiently. (Full training on our internal systems is provided — no prior experience with them is required.)

This role balances independent work with collaboration and is well-suited for someone who enjoys careful review work, problem-solving, and continuously improving how things get done.

Your Expertise Includes

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Sharp attention to detail — you naturally catch things other people miss.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the instinct to dig into why something isn’t working, not just that it isn’t.

  • Comfort learning and navigating new software and web-based systems quickly.

  • Familiarity with accessibility concepts (like alt text and screen-reader-friendly content), or a willingness to learn accessibility standards.

  • Strong written communication skills for documenting issues clearly.

  • Comfort working independently and managing multiple tasks or projects at once.

  • Ease using AI tools (such as Claude or similar assistants) to support day-to-day work.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; experience in quality assurance, testing, editing, or online education is a plus.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Prior QA, testing, or editorial experience, especially in online or K–12 education.

  • A basic understanding of HTML or exposure to web-based content-authoring tools.

  • Experience working on a distributed team across time zones.

Our Commitment to Inclusion & Belonging

At StrongMind, we believe the best ideas come from bringing together people with different perspectives, experiences, and ways of thinking. A diverse and inclusive workplace fuels creativity, strengthens collaboration, and helps us build better solutions for the students, families, and communities we serve.

We are committed to welcoming a broad range of talent and encouraging all qualified individuals to apply. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging and is empowered to contribute, grow, and do meaningful work.

How We’ll Take Care of You

We believe that when people feel supported, they do their best work. At StrongMind, your well-being isn’t a perk—it’s part of our culture.

Our commitment to you includes:

  • A competitive total compensation package, including HMO with dependent coverage upon regularization

  • Well-being that works for real life — virtual wellness programs, and in person wellness events because your well-being fuels your brilliance

  • Leave Credits upon regularization — make time for what matters most

  • A fully paid holiday week off at Christmas, so you can truly rest, reset, and reconnect

  • Recognition and rewards that celebrate meaningful life and work milestones

  • Quarterly Town Halls that keep communication transparent, honest, and human

  • Annual social events and traditions we genuinely look forward to—like Halloween celebrations, Wellness Events, and other moments that bring our community together

We’re intentional about building a workplace where people feel valued, connected, and empowered to thrive—at work and beyond.
