Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

This is a Quality Assurance role in food manufacturing, responsible for ensuring compliance with approved procedures, managing documentation, conducting supplier evaluations, and implementing corrective actions for non-conformances.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure that all raw materials have their corresponding documentation requirements on file
• Ensure that all tests carried out for raw materials and production premixes/colour mixes are in accordance to approved procedures and that non-conforming products are put on-hold, properly reported and documented
• Conduct Supplier evaluations including performing on-site audits
• Ensure that all process control testing in the factory is carried out in accordance with approved procedures and that non-conforming products are put on-hold, properly reported, documented immediately
• Administer the current policy change control process and significantly contribute to evaluation alignment and automation of the processes as part of common efforts to standardize operations
• Manage and track policies, revisions, change documentation, signature logs in accordance with Company Policy
• Implement and/or follow up on corrective actions for all non-conformances raised

Job Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or any related course
• With 2 to 3 years relevant experience in Quality Assurance
• With basic food laboratory skills
• Has strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly detail oriented, proactive and has a strong self-initiative
• Willing to travel, as may be needed, to carry out field audit duties
• Computer Proficient (MS Applications)
