4. Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible to set up Quality control lab facility comprising of Physico chemical analysis (Wet chemistry) with all the lab equipment as per GLP.
• Responsible for planning and monitoring of day-to-day activities of the Physico chemical (Wet chemistry) section of Quality Control.
• Monitor the lab with respect to adherence to GLP and review of various documents like SOPs, specifications, method of analysis and the day to day analytical data.
• Expertise in Analytical instruments with hands on experience to handle sophisticated QC instruments like Titration instrument, Melting point apparatus, Muffle Furnace, Viscometer, Moisture Analyzer, UV etc.
• Responsible for sampling, analysis and release of raw material, in process samples, finished products etc.
• Preparation of working standards and impurity standards with their characterization including the relative response factor (RRF) for the impurities.
• Preparation and execution of Analytical Method transfers, Analytical Method transfer validation protocols and reports, product specifications for Beauty and Nutrition products.
• Preparation and execution of Installation Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ), protocols and reports and SOPs for the analytical instruments. Monitor all the laboratory instruments for calibration and validation.
• Knowledge on the Stability Studies of the Food and Cosmetics products.
• Exposure to Process and Cleaning Validations.
• Handling of Change Controls and Deviations.
• Carrying out OOS investigations and out of trend results.
• Responsible for cGLP, internal and external audits and analytical compliance for the same.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, exposure to all the regulatory guidelines and first hand exposure to regulatory audits, internal audits and Vendor / supplier qualification in co-ordination with related departments.
• Responsible for co-coordinating with customer departments like Quality Assurance, Functional departments like Warehouse, Engineering, Manufacturing, EHS & HR departments for cross functional activities.
