Quality Control Assisstant and Inspector

Job Summary

Panther Manufacturing Inc. is looking for a Quality Control Assistant/ Inspector to join our team and work alongside our Quality Control Manager. Help us ensure our fabricated products meet customer drawings, specifications and quality requirements. You will be in office and hands-on on the floor for inspections. Previous QC experience is an asset, but we are also interested in someone with strong fabrication knowledge and blueprint-reading skills who is looking to grow and learn.

Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and customer specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of fabricated and welded components.
• Use tape measures, verniers/ calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, material, welds, and overall workmanship.
• Work with welders, fitters, supervisors, and the QC Manager to resolve quality issues.
• Assist with inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Help ensure jobs are inspected and approved before shipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication, manufacturing and quality control. Quality Control experience is an asset.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills.
• Good understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and customer requirements.
• Ability to use verniers/ calipers and standard measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Dependable, and a team player.
• Willing to learn and grow within our Quality Department.

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
