Quality Control Associate, 1+ years experience

Position: Quality Control / Returns Associate

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-2:00pm

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Quality Control / Returns Associate to inspect returned merchandise, verify product condition, identify quality issues, and ensure items are processed accurately and efficiently. This position plays an important role in maintaining product quality, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect returned products for damage, defects, missing parts, or signs of use.
• Evaluate returned merchandise and determine appropriate next steps according to company procedures.
• Document return reasons, product conditions, and inspection results accurately.
• Sort, label, and process returned items for restocking, repair, repackaging, or disposal.
• Perform quality checks on products, packaging, and order contents.
• Identify recurring product defects or quality concerns and report them to management.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required paperwork or system entries.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Work closely with warehouse, and shipping teams to resolve return-related issues.
• Follow company policies and quality control procedures consistently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse, returns processing, inspection, or quality control experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify product damage, defects, and discrepancies.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 30lbs, and move merchandise is required for the position.
