Quality Control Checker (Cold Storage Facility)

About the role

SUPIMA HOLDINGS, INC. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Checker to join our cold storage facility operations in Meycauayan City, Bulacan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety within our cold storage operations. As a Quality Control Checker, you will be responsible for inspecting, monitoring and verifying that all products stored and handled within our facility meet strict quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and the reputation of SUPIMA HOLDINGS, INC.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and systematic inspections of products stored in the cold storage facility to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Monitor temperature and humidity levels within storage units to maintain optimal conditions for product preservation
• Verify proper labelling, packaging and documentation of all stored products
• Document inspection findings, discrepancies and corrective actions in quality control records and reports
• Identify and segregate damaged, defective or non-conforming products from inventory
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, industry regulations and company quality procedures
• Perform sample testing and quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing results and quality metrics
• Report quality concerns to supervisors and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

• Candidate must be a graduate of Food Technology or related course.
• Proven experience working in quality control, quality assurance or a similar inspection role, preferably in a cold storage or warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, inconsistencies and deviations from standards
• Knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection techniques and industry standards relevant to cold storage operations
• Familiarity with temperature and humidity monitoring equipment and quality testing instruments
• Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills with the ability to accurately document findings
• Physical fitness and capability to work in cold storage environments and perform regular inspections
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
• Willingness to follow established procedures and adapt to operational changes
• Previous experience with food safety certifications or quality management systems such as HACCP or ISO standards would be advantageous
