Quality Control Engineer (AI)

1. Main Duties of Job:

The team is responsible for developing a transversal application within SCC that will provide customers with tools to make their lives easier. You will join a team of 5 other members along with its lead, both back and front-end, closely collaborating with Product, and UX/UI teams, to create incredible experience for merchants and customers.

We are looking for a QC Manual Engineer who combines strong software testing skills with practical use of AI tools to improve product quality and testing efficiency.

As an AI-Driven Tester, you will leverage AI to support test design, execution, defect analysis, regression planning, and validation of AI-generated requirements and specifications across the SDLC. You will act as a quality advocate, ensuring that AI-assisted outputs meet business and quality standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Design and execute manual test cases for web, mobile, API, and enterprise applications.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and UAT testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Ensure test coverage, release readiness, and product quality.

AI-Driven Testing

• Use AI tools to generate and refine test cases, test data, and risk scenarios.
• Leverage AI for impact analysis, regression planning, and defect investigation.
• Validate and challenge AI-generated outputs before adoption.
• Identify opportunities to improve QA productivity through AI.

AI-Augmented SDLC

• Review AI-generated requirements, user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify inconsistencies, gaps, ambiguities, and AI hallucinations.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers to ensure quality standards are met.

Collaboration

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional initiatives.
• Promote QA best practices and AI-driven testing approaches.
• Support continuous improvement within the QA organization.

3. Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Software QA or Manual Testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on testing experience with web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Practical experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar platforms.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), defect management, and testing methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of test design techniques, test planning, and risk-based testing approaches.
• Experience with defect and work management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Experience designing and validating API test scenarios using Postman, Swagger or equivalent tools.
• Ability to perform database validation using SQL queries. (plus)
• Understanding of software architecture, client-server applications, and API integrations.
• Familiarity with Git or other source control systems.
• Basic understanding of test automation frameworks and automation testing best practices.
• Ability to read, understand, troubleshoot, and contribute to automated test scripts .
• Awareness of performance, security, accessibility, and usability testing principles..

AI Competencies

• Ability to create effective prompts for testing activities.
• Strong critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs.
• Understanding of AI limitations, hallucinations, risks, and ethics.
• Experience reviewing AI-generated business and testing artifacts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI-driven SDLC practices, Spec-Driven Development (SDD), or similar frameworks.
• Experience developing or maintaining automated UI, API, or end-to-end tests.
• Exposure to CI/CD, test automation concepts, and cloud-based applications.
• Experience in eCommerce, PIM, ERP, CRM, or enterprise platforms.
• Certifications: ISTQB certifications / Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900) or equivalent
