Quality Control Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials and verify them against drawings, specifications, and purchase requirements.
• Conduct in-process and final inspection of machined components.
• Check dimensions using instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Prepare inspection reports, dimensional reports, and other quality-related documents.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Identify non-conforming materials/components and coordinate with the production team for corrective action.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection at various stages of production.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and calibration records.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Support customer inspections and audits when required.
• Ensure proper identification and traceability of materials and components.
• Follow company quality procedures and ISO requirements.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensional inspection.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to identify and analyze quality issues.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality documentation will be an added advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
