Quality Control Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Works with Production, Engineering and related department to solve quality issue happened in company process and customer side, coordinate quality improvement activities in company both for manufacturing process and product quality, ensure process ability and product quality meets company standard and customer's requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Incoming Quality Control (IQC) - 2 HCs

• Inspection of Incoming materials: Ensure that all raw materials under quality inspection received from suppliers meet company quality standards and identify proper inspection methods to inspectors. Monitor cycle time of inspection and ensure no long aging backlog from IQC.
• Inspection instruction to IQC: Prepared IQC checklist which include checking criteria and inspection methods (Identify inspection methods, reference and tools usage) for each individual part number.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accuracy records of inspections. Generate weekly IQC report and non-netting status report for internal stakeholders
• Non-conformance Management: Identify defective or non-compliant materials from inspection and work with SQE team to resolve the issues. This include disposition (DMR process), supplier improvement effective date (SIIR special inspection lots monitoring) and increase on AQL sampling size.
• Data Analysis: Analyze inspection or purge rescreen data to identify trends, recurring defects or quality concerns. Work with SQE on the improvement as well as IQC support to monitor on supplier corrective action effectiveness
• Compliance with Regulatory standards: Ensure IQC record up-to date with sufficient support document and compliant to CSA,TUV, UL, CE and ISO requirement.
• Continuous improvement: Contribute to the development of better inspections process, quality standards, and methodologies to enhance the overall quality of incoming materials.
• Training: Provide training and guidance to inspectors involved in material inspection, quality procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Support in additional task required by supervisor from time to time.
• Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.

2.In-Process (IPQC) & Product Quality Control - 2HCs

• Control manufacturing process and monitor quality performance both internal & external, review quality data with related persons regularly.
• Coordinate quality improvement activities for process stability and product quality, to implement process audit and hold quality meeting, etc.
• Handle quality issue happened in company process and customer side, implement containment action, investigate the root cause, follow up corrective actions and response to related person/department, and Product Hold process follow up.
• Drives quality standards, manages audits, and interfaces with customers on quality concerns.
• Set up process management plan for each product and make sure it been understood and followed.
• Guide related persons such as operator and inspector on quality standard and workmanship standard understanding.
• Data collecting and analysis, and drive improvement with data.
• Equipment calibration management, intranet database maintenance and work environment control for ESD.
• Implement First Article Inspection and submitted result to customer as needed.
• New product transfer action follow up.
• New Production Line qualification.
• Support the Quality System setup and maintenance.
• Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering major in Electronic or Mechanical is preferred.
• Have at least 2 years experience in Quality Control Engineer (In-Coming or In-Process & Production Quality Control), preferably background of electronic product manufacturing process.
• Knowledge of SPC, Variation Control and MSA or GR&R techniques
• The 6-Sigma background is preferred.
• Skill of basic quality tools and quality improvement tools such as SPC, FMEA, DOE, etc.
• Solving problem skills, able to coordinate persons from different departments for quickly solving quality issue.
• Data analysis ability, able to find potential quality issue as early as possible.
• Creative ability, technical skill and independent judgment ability.
• PC skills, can properly present quality issues and reports with Email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to follow equipment calibration requirement and process.
• Knowledge of ISO9001requirements and internal auditor certification is preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
• Good command both of written and spoken English.
• Able to work on Monday-Friday (8.00-17.30) in Rojana Laemchabang Industrial Estate, Chonburi.
