Quality Control Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products as per approved quality standards.
• Conduct regular quality checks and ensure products meet required specifications.
• Maintain inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
• Identify quality defects, deviations, and non-conformities and coordinate for corrective action.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Coordinate with production, laboratory, and other departments regarding quality-related issues.
• Ensure samples are properly collected, labeled, stored, and sent to the laboratory for testing when required.
• Follow up on laboratory test reports and maintain proper records.
• Ensure rejected or non-conforming materials are properly identified and segregated.
• Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality procedures, and applicable standards.
• Conduct routine quality audits and inspections.
• Train production staff on basic quality requirements and inspection procedures.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports for management.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper documentation within the quality-control area.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of quality inspection and testing procedures.
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with production and laboratory teams.
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards and SOPs.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and manage quality activities effectively.

Qualification & Experience

• Qualification: Diploma / B.Sc. / B.Tech. or relevant qualification in the applicable field.
• Experience: 25 years in Quality Control / Quality Assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Product quality and rejection rate.
• Compliance with quality standards and SOPs.
• Accuracy and timely completion of inspection reports.
• Reduction of customer/internal quality complaints.
• Timely closure of quality deviations and corrective actions.
• Proper maintenance of quality records.
