Job Summary

Kreymayer Precision Drive Systems LLP is looking for a Quality Control Engineer / Quality Engineer to manage and control quality activities in our manufacturing plant.

The candidate will be responsible for in-process and final inspection of precision engineering components, ensuring that products meet specified dimensional, geometric and quality requirements. The role requires strong practical knowledge of inspection instruments and the ability to independently carry out measurements and maintain quality records.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in using Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Bore Dial Gauges, Digital Height Gauges and Sigma measuring equipment, along with a good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and inspection procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Measurement

• Carry out in-process and final inspection of precision engineering components.
• Inspect components using Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Bore Dial Gauges, Digital Height Gauges and Sigma measuring equipment.
• Check critical dimensions, tolerances, bores, lengths, heights and other specified parameters.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances and specifications.
• Ensure inspection is carried out according to defined quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Maintain accurate inspection and measurement records.

Quality Control & Manufacturing

• Manage and maintain quality control activities within the manufacturing plant.
• Monitor quality during different stages of manufacturing and identify deviations at an early stage.
• Coordinate with Production to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Identify non-conforming products and ensure proper segregation and disposition.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality problems.
• Ensure that finished products meet customer specifications before dispatch.

Quality Management & Documentation

• Maintain inspection reports, quality records and other relevant documentation.
• Monitor rejection, rework and quality-related issues.
• Assist in implementing and improving quality control systems and inspection processes.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Purchase and Dispatch teams on quality-related matters.
• Ensure proper calibration and usage of measuring instruments.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Micrometers and Vernier Calipers.
• Experience using Bore Dial Gauges and Digital Height Gauges.
• Knowledge of Sigma measuring equipment and precision measurement techniques.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Good understanding of dimensional inspection and manufacturing quality control.
• Ability to identify quality problems and coordinate corrective actions.
• Good knowledge of inspection documentation and quality records.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality responsibilities.

Experience

Candidates with experience in precision engineering, gear manufacturing, machining, CNC manufacturing, mechanical components or industrial manufacturing will be preferred.

Experience in managing quality control activities in a manufacturing plant or engineering projects will be an advantage.

Candidates residing in or able to commute to Kamothe, Panvel, Navi Mumbai and nearby areas are preferred.
