Quality Control Executive

About the role

Quality Control Analyst role focused on sampling and testing of crude palm oil (CPO), refined palm products, biodiesel feedstocks, and related products at jetty operations. The role involves verifying product quality during vessel loading, unloading, and inter-tank transfers, and monitoring cargo quality throughout storage and handling processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sampling and testing of crude palm oil (CPO), refined palm products, biodiesel feedstocks, and related products at jetty operations
• Verify product quality during vessel loading, unloading, and inter-tank transfers
• Monitor cargo quality throughout storage and handling processes
• Conduct pre-loading and pre-discharge quality inspections
• Witness cargo sampling during vessel operations
• Ensure proper handling practices to prevent contamination and product deterioration
• Coordinate with terminal operators, surveyors, and shipping agents on quality-related matters
• Monitor storage tank conditions and cleanliness before product transfers
• Maintain accurate quality records and traceability documentation
• Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Applied Science, or related discipline
• Minimum 2-5 years of quality control or laboratory experience in palm oil / oleochemical plants
• Experience in cargo inspection or marine terminal operations is an added advantage
• Familiarity with MPOB, PORAM, and international edible oil standards
• Ability to interpret laboratory test results and quality reports
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and quality documentation systems
• Knowledge of ISO quality management systems
