Quality Control Inspector Civil

Role & responsibilities

• Implement quality control activities for Structural works as per Project Quality Plan, project specifications, codes and standards and contract requirements
• Responsible for the organization, safekeeping and attachment of all quality records for materials/products to ITP records for the final acceptance of the Structural works
• Witness and disposition all site inspections for Structural works
• Perform site quality control inspections to verify compliance
• Perform site surveillance inspections to monitor site activities
• Notify the interested parties identified in ITPs for upcoming inspections
• Coordinate all site inspections with the subcontractors and the Customers Engineer/Inspector for Structural works
• Ensure all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken
• Ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are current status
• Assist the QC Manager, Superintendent and Supervisor in the organization, maintenance and control of the quality system
• Review all Structural inspection reports for compliance
• Liaise with the site construction engineers and provide assistance when requested
• Prepare nonconformity reports and assist in developing corrective actions
• Coordinate with the customers QC Inspectors for the resolution of site problems
• Coordinate with the site subcontractors to ensure that communications exist and are maintained
• Assist the site subcontractors in the resolution of drawing interpretation
• Attend QC meetings
• Comply with the projects HSE plan and regulations

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, or a relevant technical/vocational diploma.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar structural QC role, specifically on large, complex projects.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of structural steel material testing, quality regulations, and intermediate English proficiency.
