Quality Control Inspector

The David Packard Company (DPC Machining), a leader in precision machining located in Oxford, MA (just south of Worcester), is hiring a Quality Control Inspector to join our dedicated team!With over 35 years of excellence, we're ISO 9001:2015 and ITAR registered, precision CNC Swiss screw machining, CNC turning, laser engraving, and secondary operations. We deliver exceptional contract manufacturing to clients with demanding tolerances—and we're seeking a detail-oriented inspector to help uphold our reputation for top-tier quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections of precision machined parts and assemblies
• Use a variety of precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, vision system, height stands, etc.) to verify dimensions, GD&T features, and tolerances per blueprints and specifications
• Conduct visual and functional inspections to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformances
• Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and report findings to quality and production teams
• Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ITAR, and customer requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Experience as a Quality Control Inspector (or similar role) in precision machining or manufacturing
• Strong proficiency with hand inspection tools, blueprint reading, and GD&T
• Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and ability to work with tight tolerances
• Good communication skills and a commitment to quality standards
• Prior exposure to CNC/Swiss parts is a plus
