Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical drawings to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Perform quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), and other relevant standards to identify deviations and areas for improvement.
• Utilize measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to perform dimensional measurements and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collect data systematically during inspections, document findings accurately, and generate reports for review by quality management teams.
• Collaborate with production teams to address non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and improve overall product quality.
• Support regulatory compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to FDA regulations, HACCP protocols, CGMP standards, and other legal requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485), GMP, FDA regulations, and related quality management systems.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately using tools like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges; understanding of GD&T principles is preferred.
• Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail; capable of conducting quality audits and data collection efficiently.
• Basic math skills for measurement calculations and data interpretation.
• Mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to interpret manufacturing documents and technical specifications confidently.
• Strong communication skills for documenting findings clearly and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 – 48.0 per week
