Quality Control Inspector

Chesapeake Machining & Fabrication, Inc., is seeking a full time Quality Control Inspector to join our AISC certified Quality Control Department. The successful candidate shall have 5 years’ experience in performing inspection of fabricated and machined products manufactured to Customer drawings and specifications, be comfortable in a job-shop environment, have experience in both welded assemblies and machined components, must be able read and interpret drawings, be fully versed in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, as well as the use of manual inspection tools and equipment as a minimum. Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AWS welding codes and experience with the use of a FARO CMM and Laser Tracker a plus.

Responsible to the Manager of Quality Assurance, this individual shall be responsible to:

• Produce and / or complete dimensional sheets or other evidence of inspection per contract and customer requirements.

• Verify product certifications and material testing reports.

• Assist in the assembly of job certification package.

• Perform examinations of incoming materials and services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
