Impact In This Role.

Your role as a QC Inspector will be to physically inspect and measure parts as well as to remotely review inspection photos of parts and documents provided by Fictivs manufacturing partners.

You will bring knowledge of manufacturing quality issues and a keen eye for detail, to fulfill our promise of providing the highest quality parts to customersrequirements.

In this role, youll be using your experience in mechanical hardware inspection, leveraging your manufacturing process knowledge and structured problem solving skills, to identify issues and to contribute to the continual improvement of our manufacturing partner network.

At Fictiv, we believe providing orders on time and in full to customer requirements is essential for creating and maintaining the worlds premier platform for hardware manufacturing, and youll be playing a critical role in making that happen.

The role is collaborative, with daily interaction with fellow inspectors, supplier quality engineers, and logistics.

In addition to the daily role, you will work to support longer term individual projects, and collaborate on the development of QC-related and other processes.

You will be instrumental in giving customers the confidence that Fictiv manages the quality of parts, at least as well as, but preferably better than they do.

You will report to the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer.

What Youll Be Doing.

Complete the inspection of orders according to the daily schedule.

Communicating with manufacturing partners to clarify and resolve issues identified with customer orders, escalating to supplier quality engineers as appropriate.

Communicating with supplier quality engineers about inspection issues so that feedback can be provided to manufacturing partners and appropriate actions taken.

Ensure timely release of parts such that shipping labels and documentation can be generated to support their on time shipment of orders.

Maintain inspection information in Fictivs systems so that traceability exists to satisfy the requirements of our customers and quality management system.

Contribute to the regular improvement of our workflow and development of proprietary tools.

Desired Traits.

2 years of experience working with mechanical parts.

You are a results-oriented, self-directed Inspector who uses a process approach when inspecting, to ensure full understanding of the quality of the parts.

Although developing good relationships with manufacturing partners is essential, you will be very comfortable holding them accountable whenever necessary.

Your excellent verbal and written communication skills allow you to collaborate successfully with colleagues at all levels in our organization.

You will have a good knowledge of quality management system requirements such as ISO 9001, ISO 13845, AS9100 and IATF 16949- Interested in learning moreWe look forward to hearing from you soon.
