Pay: $20.00–$23.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 12:00 PM, with flexibility to cover Saturdays on a rotating basis.

Position Summary

Chino Valley Ranchers is seeking a Quality Lab Technician to perform laboratory testing, product inspections, and quality assurance activities within our Cooked Products department. This position supports food safety and quality standards by testing in-process and finished products, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure products meet Company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, microbiological, and environmental testing.
• Collect, prepare, and test product and environmental samples.
• Conduct shelf-life testing and maintain product samples for evaluation.
• Perform environmental swabbing and assist with equipment sanitation verification.
• Inspect incoming ingredients and supplies.
• Perform product hold and testing procedures and review results for product release.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, testing documentation, and quality reports.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and monitor laboratory supplies.
• Complete finished product testing records and prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for customers.
• Assist with customer complaint investigations, corrective actions, audits, and quality inspections.
• Review food safety monitoring records and report quality concerns or non-conformities.
• Provide coverage for production quality control testing as needed.
• Follow all Company food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous laboratory or food industry experience required.
• Knowledge of food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and HACCP required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Schedule Flexibility: Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday starting at 12:00 PM and provide Saturday coverage on a rotating basis.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
