Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Mission:

The Laboratory Technician is part of the quality team, having the main mission to perform mechanical destructive tests on representative samples of aluminum alloys and composite materials and the compliance of baths and demineralized water used for special processes (constituents, impurities, pH, conductivity).

Daily tasks:

• Destructive tests for periodical control process (mechanical testing on aluminum and composite parts)

• Analysis of the composition of baths and waters: take samples, analyze the results and establish any corrective actions

• Perform the planned testing according to the schedule or to the evolution of the baths,

• Analyze the results of the testing and establish any corrective actions

• Manage and follow subcontracted activities when required (e.g. analyses that cannot be carried out at Sonaca)

• Carry out analyses required by maintenance (discharges, etc.) or production

• Identify the needs for equipment development, and requests maintenance when needed

• Manage the stock of materials and any necessary consumables

• Manage and maintain the necessary equipment, reactive agents and auxiliary materials

• Suggest improvements within the framework of one's work (quality, cost, deadline).

Requirements:

• Chemistry, physics, environment engineering university graduate or laboratory experience will be considered;

• Familiar with Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point

• English language

• Capable of understanding technical specifications or procedures

• Experience in laboratory analyses, test, periodic controls and verifications (1-3 years experience);

• Very organized, used to follow procedures and instructions

• Basic knowledge of industrial quality procedures and equipment would be a plus.
