Quality Control Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Coordinate inspection department teams more than 100 people, responsible for staff scheduling, skills training, performance evaluation, 5S on-site management, and inspector qualification evaluation.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with production, process, purchasing, R&D, and suppliers to promote the rectification of incoming material/process anomalies, supplier on-site audits, and the tracing and rectification of customer complaints.
• Cost Control: Control inspection consumables and equipment maintenance costs; optimize inspection plans to reduce inspection costs and minimize rework and scrap losses.
• Change Control: Coordinate with manufacturing to correct the details of process change and management change point in inspection process.
• Documentation: Compilation of inspection specifications, anomaly reports, internal audit materials, and customer audit materials.
• Manage all inspection process and control to related with ISO9001, IATF16949 and VDA6.3 process audits standard; able to independently develop inspection standards, work instruction, and control plans (CP) for the inspection department.
• Management and control about Vehicle Inspection: Vehicle exterior auditing, cross-section inspection, and component dimensional/physical and chemical sampling inspection judgment.

Job Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in the entire quality inspection process at a vehicle OEM, with 3 years or more of experience managing an inspection department/QC team; experience at automotive field, first-tier domestic automakers, joint venture OEMs, or leading Tier 1 component manufactures is preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates holding Quality Engineer or ISO9001, IATF16949 internal auditor certificates; candidates with a background in physical and chemical laboratories must be familiar with ISO17025/CNAS systems.
• Familiar with the 4 major vehicle manufacturing processes: stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly; proficient in all aspects of incoming quality control (IQC), process quality control (IPQC), finished product quality control (OQC), and vehicle auditing.
• Experience in quality control throughout the entire mass production cycle of at least one vehicle model, leading the rectification of major quality anomalies on the production line
• Proficient in IATF16949 and VDA6.3 process audits; able to independently develop inspection standards, work instructions, and control plans (CP) for the inspection department.
• Core tools (proficient in implementation): FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP; proficient in 8D, 5Whys, and fish-bone diagram closed-loop quality issues; able to lead non-conforming product reviews and PPAP component access audits.
• Data Management: Statistical analysis of PPM defects, rework scrap, and incoming material defects; output monthly inspection department quality reports; implement data-driven improvements to reduce defects.
• Strong on-site stress resistance; adaptable to two-shift work in vehicle manufacturing plants and handling sudden quality emergencies during mass production.
• Language Requirements: Fluent in reading and writing Thai and English (English for automotive quality), fluency in Chinese is a plus.
