Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Assurance

• Develop and implement quality control procedures for edible oil production.

• Monitor raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods quality.

• Conduct regular quality inspections and laboratory testing of oils.

• Ensure consistency in product specifications such as:

• Color

• Odor

• Free Fatty Acid (FFA)

• Moisture

• Peroxide Value

• Iodine Value

• Approve or reject raw materials and finished products based on quality standards.

Laboratory Management

• Supervise laboratory operations and testing activities.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate sampling and testing schedules.

Compliance & Food Safety

• Ensure compliance with:

• FSSAI regulations

• HACCP standards

• ISO 22000 / ISO 9001

• GMP and hygiene standards

• Prepare for internal and external audits.

• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.

Production Support

• Work closely with production and procurement teams to improve product quality.
• Monitor refining, bleaching, deodorization, and packaging processes.
• Identify quality deviations and recommend process improvements.

Team Management

• Lead and train QC staff and lab technicians.
• Conduct performance evaluations and skill development programs.
• Promote a culture of quality and food safety.
