QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER (ELECTRICAL)

About the role

This role involves ensuring QC inspection procedures are adhered to, including planning, proposing, and leading the overall implementation. You will manage department manpower issues such as work and routine schedules, training, discipline, and work ethic. Together with the Production Director, you will set up department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Key responsibilities

• Ensure QC inspection procedures are adhered to, including planning, proposing, and leading overall implementation
• Manage the department's manpower, including work schedules, training, discipline, and work ethics
• Set up department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) together with the Production Director
• Check and update new specifications
• Check product quality standards, such as testing before sending to customers
• Conduct site visits to customers' locations if required
• Analyse and recheck drawing match with final product and electrical design of panels
• Monitor equipment and tools calibration dates and follow up on production assembly and testing
• Provide technical support for production assembly and testing

About you

• Experience working in the cable industry is an advantage

• Experience in ISO 9001:2015 management and Quality Control

• Experience in handling customer queries

• Experience in electrical functional testing, including option devices and metering devices, insulation tests, dielectric or hi-pot tests, auxiliary and control tests, and visual mechanical inspection of High-Power Drives

Education

• Minimum qualification: Degree in Electrical/ Mechatronic Engineering
• Minimum work experience: 5 years in quality control/ electrical industry
• 3 years of experience in a management role.
