QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join FAIZA FOOD INDUSTRIES SDN BHD in Batu Pahat, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and food safety across our manufacturing operations. As Quality Control Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring all products meet stringent quality specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role is essential to protecting our brand reputation and ensuring consumer safety in the food manufacturing industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting routine and random quality inspections of incoming materials, work-in-progress, finished products and outgoing
2. Performing laboratory tests and analyses to verify product quality, consistency, and compliance with specifications
3. Documenting test results and maintaining detailed quality control records and reports
4. Identifying non-conforming products and implementing corrective actions to prevent defects
5. Monitoring production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and food safety protocols
6. Conducting internal and external audits of manufacturing procedures and equipment to verify compliance with established guidelines
7. Collaborating with production and management teams to address quality issues and implement improvements
8. Maintaining and calibrating quality control equipment and testing instruments
9. Supporting the implementation of food safety management systems and quality assurance programmers
10. Preparing quality reports and presenting findings to supervisors and relevant departments

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry
3. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, ISO 22000, and relevant Malaysian food safety regulations
4. Proficiency in operating quality control testing equipment and laboratory instruments
5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of quality issues
7. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
