Quality Control Officer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join GOLDEN TOP SECURITY DOOR SDN. BHD. This is a full-time position based in Kapar, Selangor. As Quality Control Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. Your work will be instrumental in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction across our security door manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and testing of security doors throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects and non-conformities
• Document and record quality control findings, including detailed reports on inspection results and corrective actions taken
• Perform measurements and dimensional checks on products using precision measuring instruments and equipment
• Investigate product failures and quality issues, and recommend corrective and preventive measures
• Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, industry regulations and customer specifications
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and implement improvements
• Maintain accurate quality control records and maintain a well-organised database of test results and inspections
• Identify trends in quality data and recommend process improvements to reduce defects and waste
• Train and guide production staff on quality standards and inspection procedures as required
• Perform final product inspections before items are dispatched to customers

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection techniques and statistical process control methods
• Proficiency in using quality control equipment and measuring instruments such as callipers, gauges and testing devices
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management standards
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate quality issues systematically
• Competent in data recording and report writing
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Experience in the manufacturing or security products industry is preferred but not essential
