About Bloom Seal
Bloom Seal Containers Pvt. Ltd. is a pioneer in rigid plastic packaging solutions, serving regulated industries such as Agrochemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Lubricants, Paints & Solvents, and FMCG. Our manufacturing processes include state-of-the-art Extrusion Blow Moulding (EBM), Injection Moulding (IM), Injection Blow Moulding (IBM), Fluorination of HDPE, Venting Solutions, and Multicolor Screen Printing. We operate certified facilities (ISO 9001:2015, moving toward ISO 15378 & US DMF Type III compliance) equipped with in-house quality testing laboratories.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Manager to lead quality operations across our manufacturing lifecycle. The QC Manager will oversee the in-house quality testing lab, enforce rigid quality parameters from raw material inspection through post-moulding and fluorination processes, and ensure finished packaging complies with customer specifications, UN packaging norms, and international regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- In-Process & Line Quality Control
- Supervise quality checkpoints across all manufacturing cells: Blow Moulding, Injection Moulding (80T150T), IBM, Fluorination, and Automatic Screen Printing.
- Monitor critical product parameters including wall thickness distribution, neck finishes, thread integrity, container weight, volume tolerance, flash defects, and visual aesthetics.
- Validate technical barrier performance and post-treatment compliance (e.g., HDPE fluorination efficacy, venting seal testing, permeation tests).
- Lab Testing & Analysis
Direct daily testing protocols in the in-house QC laboratory for incoming raw materials (HDPE, masterbatches, additives) and finished packaging:
Melt Flow Index (MFI) & Density
Environmental Stress Crack Resistance (ESCR)
Drop Impact Testing & Stacking/Compression Load Tests
Leakage, Vacuum, and Hydrostatic Pressure Tests
Torque retention, seal integrity, and ink adhesion rub/tape tests
Ensure prompt calibration, verification, and preventative maintenance of all lab gauges and testing instruments.
- Systems, Compliance & Audits
- Maintain and improve quality management systems in line with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 15378 (primary packaging materials for medicinal products), and US DMF Type III requirements.
- Drive standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and line clearance protocols.
- Host and coordinate customer audits (pharma/chemical MNCs) and regulatory inspections.
- CAPA, Defect Prevention & Continuous Improvement
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for customer complaints, non-conforming lots, and internal rejections.
- Implement SPC (Statistical Process Control) and quality improvement methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to minimize scrap and cycle-time defects.
- Team Leadership & Supplier Quality
- Lead, train, and mentor QC inspectors, lab technicians, and shop-floor quality personnel across production shifts.
- Collaborate with Procurement on vendor evaluations, Raw Material Certificate of Analysis (CoA) verification, and incoming rejection controls.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Plastics Technology / Polymer Engineering / Chemical Engineering, or a Diploma / Post-Graduate Diploma from CIPET (Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology), or B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry.
- Experience: 8–12 years of hands-on quality control experience in rigid plastic packaging, blow moulding, or injection moulding.
- Industry Background: Demonstrated experience supplying packaging to agrochemical, industrial chemical, or pharmaceutical sectors is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Deep knowledge of polymer properties (HDPE, PP, masterbatches) and blow/injection moulding defects.
- Working knowledge of UN certification for hazardous chemical packaging and pharma packaging standards.
- Expertise in core quality tools: 7 QC Tools, 8D Problem Solving, CAPA, FMEA, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Strong documentation skills for audit-readiness, CoA issuance, and batch release protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional team coordination skills.
