Quality Control Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a QC Specialist to establish and maintain the Quality Control Laboratory, ensuring compliance with Philippine FDA GMP requirements, laboratory quality systems, and applicable regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for laboratory setup and documentation, analytical testing, equipment management, sample management, and ensuring laboratory regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the Quality Control Laboratory in accordance with Philippine FDA GMP requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory quality systems and applicable procedures.
• Prepare, review, and maintain laboratory SOPs and documentation.
• Perform and/or oversee chemical and microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Conduct laboratory testing and ensure accurate recording and interpretation of analytical results.
• Manage laboratory equipment, instruments, reagents, samples, and related documentation.
• Conduct basic microbiological testing using ready-to-use dry media systems, such as Compact Dry.
• Investigate OOS/OOT results and support appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Implement CAPA and participate in laboratory risk assessments.
• Ensure laboratory activities comply with applicable regulatory and quality requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Licensed Chemist or Licensed Chemical Technician is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, or testing laboratory.
• Knowledge of Philippine FDA GMP for Food Supplements.
• Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Management Systems.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Knowledge of food chemistry and analytical testing.
• Knowledge of basic microbiological testing.
• Experience with laboratory SOP preparation and review.
• Experience with laboratory setup and documentation.
