JLM Automotive is seeking a motivated, self-driven, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Control Technician . This is the perfect entry-level position for someone who loves being around cars and wants to be part of a professional, fast-paced automotive shop without jumping straight into full technician work.

Position: Quality Control Technician

This position is ideal for someone who’s eager to contribute, ready to learn, and takes pride in doing things right. You’ll play a key role in ensuring vehicles leave the shop in top condition while supporting shop operations in various ways.

What You’ll Do

• Perform final vehicle quality control inspections before customer delivery
• Assist with documenting vehicle cleanliness, visual checks, and test drives (as needed)
• Provide shuttle service for customers with professionalism and punctuality
• Keep the shop clean, safe, and organized , including sweeping, taking out trash, and restocking supplies
• Maintain and organize the shop tool room and QC supplies
• Help technicians by lending a hand, moving vehicles, or pushing cars as needed
• Support overall shop flow and pitch in wherever help is needed
• Follow all safety and cleanliness protocols consistently

Who We’re Looking For

• Self-motivated and able to take initiative without constant supervision
• Strong attention to detail —you’ll be the last line of defense before a vehicle goes back to a customer
• Comfortable in a physically active role and moving vehicles (with valid driver's license)
• Organized and tidy by nature, especially with tools and shop space
• A great team player who’s happy to help wherever needed
• Someone interested in growing in the automotive field—this role can lead into a tech path
