Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, this role is responsible for performing production, packaging, and quality-control duties related to cannabis goods and products.

This position is not limited to the duties listed below, and the employee may be asked to perform other related duties as requested or assigned.

This is a great opportunity for entry-level candidates exploring a career in cannabis manufacturing and production. The position provides an opportunity to develop practical knowledge and hands-on skills within the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for packaging tasks as needed for all products.
  • Participate daily on the packaging assembly line alongside other members of the team.
  • Perform quality checks on cannabis goods to determine whether products are ready for sale.
  • Document each step of the production and packaging process using required packaging records.
  • Review quality-control-approved batches before packaging to ensure they have been properly checked and released.
  • Inspect failed cartridges to determine whether they are unable to pass quality-control requirements and document quantities of failed cartridges.
  • Verify product labeling, batch information, and required documentation after labeling and packaging.
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper sanitation of the packaging area.
  • Follow company procedures, quality standards, and applicable Washington, DC cannabis regulations.
  • Assist other areas of the operation when needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Manufacturing or laboratory experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to assist in other areas of the operation as needed.
  • Well organized, self-motivated, honest, trustworthy, and articulate.
  • Strong sense of brand integrity and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently when required and demonstrate strong follow-through.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate production and quality-control records.

Physical Requirements

  • Light to moderate lifting of approximately 25–50 lbs.; heavier weights may be handled with assistance.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace while managing frequent interruptions and physical and mental demands.
  • Ability to maintain inventory records for supplies, materials, and equipment and prepare requisitions as needed.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a production and packaging environment.

Our Benefits

Rove offers a competitive range of benefits that can be difficult to find in the cannabis industry. Our current benefits package for full-time Packaging Technicians includes:

  • Reimbursement for approved business expenses incurred while conducting company business, reimbursed weekly.
  • Per diem for qualifying out-of-state work trips and travel.
  • Health stipend provided with proof of current valid insurance to help manage eligible out-of-pocket expenses.

Our Products

Creating the ultimate individualized cannabis experience means pursuing perfection at every step of the process. From cultivation to cartridge, we take pride in producing high-quality, great-tasting, transparent products.

Our Story

Rove was born at the intersection of art and science. Our team of long-time industry enthusiasts, with extensive experience in cultivation, extraction, and laboratory science, came together with a mission to produce better, tastier, more honest cannabis products.

In 2016, the Rove founders recognized that long-term success in a developing cannabis industry required a higher degree of self-sufficiency. With that focus, Rove built its own manufacturing facilities, created unique packaging, developed a fully redundant supply chain, and engineered proprietary product formulations.

This “do it yourself” mentality has served Rove well through periods of rapid growth and industry change.
