Quality Control Technician

Job Summary:

2nd shift- 4pm-2am

This position reports to Director of Quality and will assist in managing the quality and food safety programs at Bazzini. This position will provide expertise and leadership in the operation of a food manufacturing facility.
Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain HACCP programs as well as prerequisite Food Safety programs.
• Document control of Production Paperwork at floor level.
• Allergen Testing, Water Activity, ATP testing methods.
• Control of in house retention samples as well as micro analysis preparations.
• Assist and participate in the training of all plant personnel in GMPs and related quality systems.
• Provide expertise and remain current in regulations related to food safety and the operation of a food manufacturing facility.
• Support the Quality Assurance Department.
• Comply with GMP’s and GLP’s.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related science. Will look at job experience as an alternative.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a QA/QC position, preferably in an FDA regulated facility.
• Working knowledge of FDA regulations and requirements.
• Experience in food manufacturing
• Experience with and enforcing an HACCP programs.
• Good communication skills and proficient computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Self-motivated , have a strong sense of urgency and a bias for action.
• Flexibility in a challenging and complex work environment while firmly maintaining compliance and upholding standards.
• Knowledge of Spanish desirable but not required.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
