What they need
Quality matters at Dacrylate
Quality is central to every product we manufacture and to the confidence our customers place in Dacrylate. We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to help ensure products meet specification and are supported by accurate, traceable test records.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is methodical, attentive to detail and confident raising concerns when standards are not met.
Key expectations
Working closely with Technical, Production and Procurement colleagues, you will be expected to:
· Test production batches using approved methods and assess results against specification.
· Maintain accurate, complete and traceable quality records.
· Identify out-of-specification results and follow the appropriate hold, escalation and release procedures.
· Support approved batch corrections, quality investigations and corrective actions with reliable test data.
· Recognise trends, anomalies and recurring variation that may affect product consistency.
· Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records and safe working practices.
· Work constructively across departments and contribute to continuous improvement.
The full scope of duties and responsibilities is set out in the job description.
What we are looking for
You should bring a disciplined, quality-focused approach and be comfortable working with data, documented procedures and colleagues across the business.
· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, consistent work.
· Ability to follow procedures and maintain complete, traceable records.
· Sound numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Confidence to identify deviations, ask questions and escalate concerns appropriately.
· Clear written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to organise priorities without compromising quality or safety.
· Good computer skills, including Excel or similar data-recording systems.
Desirable knowledge and experience
Experience in quality control, laboratory testing, manufacturing or a documented quality system would be advantageous. Knowledge of any of the following would also be useful, although training will be provided:
· ISO 9001 quality management systems
· Instrument calibration and laboratory equipment
· Manufacturing quality processes
· Paints, coatings or chemical manufacturing
· Quality investigations and root-cause analysis
Paint industry experience is not essential. We welcome applicants from manufacturing, laboratory and technical backgrounds who can demonstrate the required skills and behaviours.
What you can expect from Dacrylate
You will join a business where quality findings influence decisions and contribute directly to product consistency and customer confidence.
You will be encouraged to raise issues and suggest improvements, with support to develop your technical knowledge, quality expertise and understanding of our products and processes.
