QUALITY CONTROL/ASSURANCE

About the role

Percetakan Konta Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control/Assurance professional to join our manufacturing team. This is a full-time position based in Central Seberang Perai, Penang, where you will play a vital role in ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality standards and customer expectations. As a Quality Control/Assurance specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality processes throughout our production operations, directly contributing to our commitment to excellence and operational efficiency.

What you'll be doing

• Inspecting raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications and industry standards
• Conducting comprehensive testing and measurement of products using appropriate quality control equipment and methodologies
• Documenting all quality control activities, test results and non-conformances in a systematic and organised manner
• Identifying quality issues and investigating root causes to prevent recurring defects
• Collaborating with production teams to implement corrective and preventative actions
• Maintaining detailed quality records and generating reports for management review
• Performing regular audits of production processes to verify adherence to established quality procedures
• Supporting the continuous improvement of quality systems and processes
• Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding quality matters and product specifications
• Training and mentoring production staff on quality standards and best practices

What we're looking for

• A relevant qualification in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably within manufacturing or logistics environments
• Proficiency in using quality control equipment and testing instruments
• Strong knowledge of quality standards and certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or equivalent
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving quality issues
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with quality management systems
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively document findings and liaise with teams
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic manufacturing environment and willingness to learn new processes
• Preferred experience with statistical analysis, SPC (Statistical Process Control) or Six Sigma methodologies
