Quality Controller

About the Position

Cultura Fresh is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Controller to join our pack-house team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the production process, ensuring that all products meet company, customer and food safety standards. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections during production and packing.
• Monitor product quality against customer specifications.
• Identify and report quality concerns and assist with corrective actions.
• Complete quality control records accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and company procedures.
• Monitor product handling, packaging and labelling.
• Assist with internal quality checks and audits.
• Communicate quality issues with production and management teams.
• Promote continuous improvement in quality standards.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Relevant qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, Quality Assurance or a related field will be advantageous.
• Previous quality control experience in a food production, packhouse or agricultural environment will be advantageous.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
