Quality Controller

Job Purpose

To ensure garments and supplier goods meet buyer quality standards through production monitoring, inspections, carton and quantity verification, and accurate quality reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Production monitoring: Monitor the running production style and verify fabric, trims, colour, size ratio, and product details.
• End-line quality inspection: Ensure end-line QC is done before shipment or packing, and report the status for further action.
• Supplier incoming goods inspection: Inspect all garments received from suppliers for workmanship, measurements, stains, damages, and defects.
• Carton weight verification: Accurately record and maintain the carton (CTN) weight of all incoming supplier goods.
• Carton and quantity verification: Check carton condition, count pieces received, and identify shortages, excess quantities, or damaged cartons.
• Quality reporting: Prepare daily QC reports highlighting defects, shortages, and corrective actions required.
• Coordination with production and merchandising: Work with production, suppliers, and the merchandising team on quality improvements and issue resolution.
• Documentation and record maintenance: Maintain inspection records, QC checklists, carton weight records, and supplier QC reports.

Qualifications (suggested)

• Graduate or diploma in Apparel Production, Textiles, or a related field
• 5 to 10 years of garment QC experience, preferably in an export house
• Knowledge of garment measurements, defects, AQL, and inspection procedures

• Accuracy of inspection and carton records
• Timely daily QC reports
• Early identification of defects and shortages
• Reduction in repeat quality issues

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
