Job Responsibilities1. Quality Strategy & Local System Establishment

1. Formulate site‑level quality strategy, annual quality objectives and zero‑defect plans covering the full value chain of cell, module, PACK and energy‑storage systems.

2. Develop and implement compliance systems including ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001, UL9540, IEC62619, NFPA and other mandatory overseas certifications.

3. Deliver quality manuals, procedure documents, inspection standards and traceability specifications aligned with requirements from energy‑storage and automotive OEM customers. Lead customer audits, third‑party certifications and governmental factory inspections to achieve zero major non‑conformances.

4. End‑to‑End Quality Control for Cells & PACKs

5. Incoming Quality Control (IQC): Manage supplier qualification, rating, audit and development for key materials including cathode/anode, separator, electrolyte, copper/aluminum foils, BMS, PCS, structural components and connectors. Mitigate risks of incoming defects and material inconsistency.

6. In‑Process Quality Control (IPQC): Oversee quality across all manufacturing steps: electrode preparation, coating, calendering, slitting, winding/stacking, electrolyte filling, formation, capacity grading, module welding, PACK assembly, BMS calibration and energy‑storage system integration. Deploy SPC, CPK improvement, mistake‑proofing and traceability systems to reduce in‑process defects and scrap rates.

7. Final/Outgoing Quality Control (FQC/OQC): Verify cell electrical performance, safety performance (over‑charge / over‑discharge / thermal runaway), cycle life and cell consistency. Conduct insulation, hipot, BMS functionality, grid‑interoperability and UL safety compliance tests for PACK and energy‑storage systems to ensure 100% compliance prior to shipment.

8. Closure of Major Quality Incidents: Lead root‑cause analysis via 8D, 5‑Why and FMEA methodologies for batch failures, thermal‑runaway events, safety incidents and customer complaints. Define and track CAPA execution to drive long‑term prevention and yield improvement.

9. Supply‑Chain Quality

10. Manage quality performance of domestic and global suppliers. Implement supplier tiered qualification, monthly performance reviews, annual audits and quality‑claim mechanisms. Drive PPAP/PSW deployment, incoming‑inspection exemption and quality‑cost optimization initiatives.

11. Liaise with SQE teams at China headquarters to align quality standards, share defect data and execute joint improvement projects, ensuring consistent supply‑chain performance across manufacturing sites.

12. Customer Quality & Regulatory Compliance

13. Serve as primary quality point‑of‑contact for overseas energy‑storage operators, utility companies and automotive OEMs. Resolve complaints, support on‑site inspections and customer audits, provide technical clarifications and issue English‑language 8D / corrective‑preventive reports. Target customer satisfaction ≥95%.

14. Maintain in‑depth knowledge of overseas grid‑code requirements, safety regulations, battery transportation and end‑of‑life recycling compliance. Own UL, CSA, NERC, FERC certifications and their annual surveillance maintenance.

15. Team Building & Cross‑Cultural Management

16. Build the local quality organization, including quality engineers, inspection personnel, lab specialists and system specialists. Foster an efficient quality culture integrating local and Chinese working practices.

17. Deliver capability‑building training covering quality tools (SPC / FMEA / MSA / 8D), Six Sigma and lean‑quality projects, enhancing team competence and problem‑solving effectiveness.

18. Data‑Driven Management & Continuous Improvement

19. Establish quality‑data dashboards tracking core KPIs: incoming defect rate, process yield, finished‑product conformance rate, customer‑complaint rate, scrap cost and on‑time delivery. Prepare regular English‑language quality reports for the Site General Manager and Global Quality Headquarters.

20. Optimize quality costs and process capability, embed zero‑defect mindsets, benchmark against leading global battery manufacturers (e.g. Tesla, LGES), and continuously elevate site‑level quality competitiveness.
