Quality Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

-        Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance standards, procedures, and processes.

-        Analyze quality data and prepare reports for management on quality metrics and trends

-        Read product drawings and other specifications to understand the requirement of the part, assembly or final product

-        Perform quality assessment for incoming, in-process and outgoing materials, parts, assemblies and final product

-        Verify material or product status in the production to confirm any quality issue or potential nonconformances and recommend timely solutions.

-        Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and develop corrective and preventative actions.

-        Ensure that qualification, verification and validation activities are conducted based on procedures.

-        Provide training on specifications, standards and other quality control related matters to improve product quality.

-        Recommend activities for continual improvement of the process and product.

Participate in quality audit activities – internal, 2nd and 3rd party audit.

Qualification

-        Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing or equivalent tertiary qualification

-        Being able to communicate fluent in Filipino & English, both written and verbal

-        Expert knowledge in understanding and interpreting of manufacturing drawings with respect to, but not limited to linear, angular, radial and ordinate dimensions as well as their respective tolerances as well as common surface, weld and other symbols.

-        Proficient and exposure to quality tools and methods such as SPC, DMAIC, Design of Experiment (DOE), etc.

-        Skilled in methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), and FMEA to identify and resolve quality issues

-        Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques

-        Able to use inspection, measuring and testing instruments and equipment

-        Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop creative and effective solutions

-        Keen attention to details and accuracy

Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, management, and stakeholders.
