Quality Engineer

• Act as Management Representative (MR) / Quality Management Representative (QMR) for the company.
• Review and verify IPQC, FQC and OQC inspection records, including product cosmetic requirements, to ensure compliance with specifications and production plans.
• Work closely with Production and relevant departments to identify, investigate and resolve product non-conformities, including preparation of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
• Develop inspection specifications (SIP) and control plans based on engineering drawings, production processes and design changes such as ECN/ECR.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and review New Product Introduction (NPI) sample reports according to customer requirements.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications, applicable industry standards and quality requirements, including preparation of 8D reports.
• Follow up on corrective actions arising from internal and external audits or customer complaints.
• Perform daily verification of product non-conformities and goods release, analyse process abnormalities and monitor improvement results.
• Plan and conduct quality audits to evaluate manufacturing process compliance.
• Monitor internal quality issues and prepare weekly and monthly quality performance reports and defect statistics.
• Work with management and relevant departments to identify opportunities and methods for continuous quality improvement.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are properly implemented and effective.
• Provide training to new employees and support the development of inspection methods and control plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
• Support overtime work when required by operational needs.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, including three-view drawings, and understand GD&T principles.
• Proficient in using mechanical inspection equipment such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, projectors and CMM.
• Familiar with sampling plans and able to develop inspection specifications (SIP) and control plans.
• Good knowledge of the seven major QC tools and basic process analysis.
• Experience in preparing and writing 8D reports.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 documentation and quality management systems.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
