Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal quality audits, management reviews, and external certification/customer audits.
• Lead Production Quality Assurance (PQA) activities, including PPAP implementation for new product introduction (NPI).
• Monitor production quality performance, analyze quality data, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection standards, and quality documentation.
• Manage Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) activities, including supplier qualification, performance monitoring, supplier audits, and corrective actions.
• Handle customer quality issues by investigating complaints, coordinating root cause analysis, and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities for non-conforming materials and products.
• Manage document control and engineering change processes to ensure compliance with document control procedures.
• Oversee calibration of inspection and measurement equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct quality-related training and promote quality awareness throughout the organization.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2-5 years or above experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Management role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a multinational company.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System; ISO 13485 experience will be an added advantage.
• Certified Internal Auditor is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with quality tools such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, CAPA, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Familiar with supplier quality management and customer complaint handling.
• Experience in internal, customer, and third-party audits.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage due to business communication requirements.
