Quality Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished products as per quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and documentation.
• Conduct dimensional inspection using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
• Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Handle customer complaints and support problem-solving activities.
• Prepare and maintain NCR, 8D, CAPA, Inspection Reports, and other quality documents.
• Conduct process and product audits as required.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Stores, and other departments for quality improvement.
• Ensure adherence to 5S, safety, quality procedures, and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement and reduction of rejection/rework.
• Maintain calibration records of measuring and inspection equipment.
• Participate in quality improvement, Kaizen, and process improvement activities.

Required Skills

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of 7 QC Tools and basic problem-solving techniques.
• Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC is preferred.
• Good knowledge of measuring instruments and drawing interpretation.
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with production and cross-functional teams.
• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
