Salary: £45,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an established electronics manufacturing business specialising in PCB assembly and electronic manufacturing.

This is a hands-on quality role suited to someone with previous experience within an electronics, PCB, or manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and continually improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements
• Conduct and support internal, customer and external audits
• Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and quality issues
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Support continuous improvement across manufacturing and production processes
• Monitor quality performance and identify recurring issues and trends
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Suppliers and Customers to resolve quality issues
• Maintain quality procedures, documentation and records
• Support product and process quality throughout PCB assembly and electronic manufacturing
• Ensure products and processes meet customer, technical and regulatory requirements

About You:

• Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within electronics, PCB assembly or manufacturing
• Practical experience working with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485
• Experience working within a Quality Management System
• Experience with internal auditing and supporting external/customer audits
• Strong understanding of NCRs, CAPA, corrective actions and root cause analysis
• Good understanding of manufacturing and production processes
• Able to read and understand technical documentation and engineering drawings
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience with 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto or similar quality tools would be advantageous
• Quality or engineering qualifications would be beneficial
