Quality Engineer

Our client "Dahua Precision Manufacturing Sdn Bhd" is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team! This full-time opportunity offers a hands-on role in aerospace manufacturing, focusing on quality control, compliance, non-conformance resolution, audits and continuous improvement. The position offers a monthly salary of RM5,000–RM7,900.

What you'll be doing?

• Lead quality representation: Act as MR/QMR and support the organisation’s quality management responsibilities.
• Verify inspection records: Review IPQC, FQC and OQC records and cosmetic criteria for completeness and compliance.
• Manage non-conformances: Coordinate defect investigations, prepare NCRs and follow up on product quality issues.
• Develop quality controls: Prepare SIPs and control plans using drawings, ECN/ECR changes and process flows.
• Support first article inspections: Perform FAIs and review new product introduction sample reports against customer requirements.
• Maintain compliance: Ensure products meet customer requirements, industry standards and relevant quality expectations.
• Drive corrective actions: Support 8D reporting and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
• Monitor product quality: Verify NCRs and goods releases, analyse abnormalities and confirm improvement results.
• Conduct quality audits: Plan and evaluate process conformance across manufacturing operations.
• Analyse quality performance: Summarise process defects and prepare weekly and monthly quality statistics.
• Improve quality systems: Work with managers to identify methods for improving overall product and process quality.
• Develop inspection capability: Train new employees, formulate inspection methods and plan control measures.
• Maintain workplace standards: Follow procedures and support a clean and safe working environment.
• Support operational needs: Work overtime when required and perform other duties assigned by the superior.

Who are they looking for?

• Quality engineering experience: Experience in manufacturing quality control and process analysis will be highly valued.
• Technical drawing skills: Strong ability to read mechanical drawings, including three-view drawings, and understand GD&T principles.
• Inspection expertise: Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, projectors, CMMs and other mechanical inspection instruments.
• Quality planning knowledge: Familiarity with sampling plans and the ability to formulate SIPs and control plans.
• QC techniques: Proficiency in the seven major QC techniques and practical process analysis capability.
• 8D reporting: Experience preparing and writing 8D reports to support structured corrective action.
• Software skills: Ability to use basic CAD tools and Microsoft Office.
• Quality systems knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 system documentation.
• Communication skills: Strong oral and written English is required for quality documentation and cross-functional coordination; Mandarin is an advantage for communicating with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
