Quality Engineer

Qualifications & Certifications

 Diploma / bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Industrial

Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, HSE, or related discipline.

 Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 9001:2015) preferred.

 ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditor certification is an added

advantage.

 Lead Auditor qualification (IRCA or equivalent) is preferred.

 Knowledge of API, ASME, OEM quality requirements, and Baker Hughes Quality

Management System.

 Certified NDT Level II / Quality-related certifications are advantageous.

 Good knowledge of quality tools including RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, CAPA,

NCR Management, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Experience

 Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Service Operations, Repair Shops, or Quality Management Systems.

 Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, quality management systems, audits, and calibration control.

 Experienced in handling NCR, SDR, customer complaints, and CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).

 Familiarity with manufacturing, repair shop, service operations, or project environments.

 Experience in KPI reporting, management reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skill / Attributes / Competencies

 Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

 Ability to lead improvement initiatives and support employee development.

 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and KPI reporting.

 Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001 and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

 Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), process improvement, and Lean principles.

Main Responsibilities

Process Quality Engineer (PQE)

 Coordinate qualification activities to achieve On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets for

repair shops and service qualifications.

 Define ownership and accountability for qualification deliverables in accordance

with internal quality procedures.

 Manage and monitor overall qualification plans and milestones.

 Drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

and Non-Conformance Analysis (NCA) for quality issues.

 Ensure all Baker Hughes standards, procedures, work instructions, and quality

requirements are effectively implemented and maintained.

 Lead and manage quality-related issues including eSQM, eNCR, eSDR, customer

complaints, ageing closures and corrective actions.

 Support development and implementation of competence and training plans for

quality personnel.

 Monitor calibration activities of measuring and testing equipment and perform

investigations related to equipment non-conformities.

 Manage special processes and ensure continuity of qualified personnel and

operator certifications.

 Monitor shop quality performance metrics and support operational excellence

initiatives.

Management System

 Coordinate implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of

Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

 Ensure compliance with ISO standards, legal requirements, customer

requirements, and company policies.

 Maintain controlled documents, procedures, work instructions, forms, and

records.

 Coordinate document reviews, revisions, approvals, and distribution.

 Plan and coordinate internal audits, surveillance audits, customer audits, and

certification audits.

 Act as focal person with certification bodies, auditors, customers, and regulatory

agencies.

 Manage audit findings, NCRs, observations, corrective actions, and effectiveness

verification.

 Track management system KPIs and support improvement projects

 Prepare management reviewing meeting materials, reports, action logs, and

performance dashboards.

 Conduct management system awareness training and employee engagement

programs.

 Promote continual improvement of culture throughout the organization.

 Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and

management system requirements.
