Quality Engineer

Enerzyz is an AI-powered, protocol-agnostic energy asset orchestration platform. It sits on top of existing control system infrastructure and autonomously runs energy assets across data centres, commercial buildings, and industrial sites.

Our software doesn’t just report on equipment — it controls it. That means quality at Enerzyz is a safety discipline, not a checkbox.

The Role

As a QA Engineer , you’ll own quality across Enerzyz OS and our ML services , making sure every reading is right, every command is safe, and every model decision can be trusted in a live facility.

What You’ll Do

• Build automated test frameworks across data ingestion, APIs, edge agents, orchestration, and control write-back
• Validate Enerzyz OS, including:
• Protocol connectivity — BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA
• Point mapping
• Data integrity
• Command readback
• Operator overrides
• Fallback to native BMS control
• Test ML services, including:
• Input data quality
• Backtesting across seasons and sites
• Regression checks between model versions
• Physically safe outputs
• Build device simulators and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setups for repeatable testing
• Monitor production for data gaps, model drift, and anomalies
• Support site commissioning and turn field incidents into permanent test cases

What You Bring

• Proven experience in QA or test automation for OT, IIoT, building automation, energy, or industrial software
• Hands-on experience with industrial protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or OPC-UA
• Strong Python automation skills — pytest or similar — with experience testing APIs and data pipelines
• Experience testing ML or data-driven systems in production
• A safety-first mindset — you think about how things fail, not just whether they work

Nice to Have

• Background in mechanical assets and control systems
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and edge or cloud deployments
