Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials, bought-out components, fabricated parts, and machined components.
• Conduct in-process and final inspection of furnace components and complete equipment.
• Verify components and assemblies as per approved drawings, specifications, BOMs, and quality standards.
• Check critical dimensions using instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Measuring Tape, and other inspection equipment.
• Inspect welding and fabrication quality, including weld dimensions, alignment, distortion, and visual defects.
• Verify furnace structures, chambers, doors, frames, trays, ducts, piping, supports, and other mechanical assemblies.
• Check insulation and refractory installation as per specified thickness, material, and workmanship requirements.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection Reports, Quality Check Sheets, NCRs, and Final Inspection Reports.
• Identify non-conformities and coordinate with Production/Engineering for corrective actions.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and support implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, calibration records, and traceability documents.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding quality issues and incoming material rejection.
• Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and performance testing of furnaces.
• Verify furnace operating parameters and test results against customer specifications.
• Support customer inspections and resolve quality-related queries during project execution.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Support internal and external audits when required.

Technical Knowledge

• The candidate should have knowledge of:
• Mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.
• GD&T, tolerances, fits, and dimensional inspection.
• Welding and fabrication inspection.
• Machining and assembly inspection.
• Refractory and insulation materials used in industrial furnaces.
• Heat-treatment furnace components and construction.
• Basic knowledge of temperature control, thermocouples, heating elements, burners, and furnace instrumentation.
• Quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, RCA, CAPA, and NCR.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems is preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
